Valery Mumindzhanov, Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District for Logistics, was arrested for three months. This was reported on January 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The investigation's request for an extension of the preventive measure was considered by the 235th garrison Military Court behind closed doors.
Muminjanov will remain under arrest until May 2.
On September 6, the Major General was charged with accepting a particularly large bribe, he pleaded not guilty. According to investigators, the Major General facilitated the conclusion of contracts for the supply of uniforms for more than 1.5 billion rubles, including to the special operation zone, and for this assistance he received a bribe worth more than 20 million rubles.
