Media reported on Harris and Clinton's interactions during the US presidential election

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris sought advice from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her next career steps after her defeat to U.S. leader Donald Trump in the presidential election. This was reported by New York Magazine (NYM) on January 23.

It is noted that in 2016 Clinton also failed in the fight against Trump. According to the magazine, Harris has had several conversations with the former Secretary of State since November 2024.

The publication reported that many in the US are speculating about what the ex-Vice President will do next and whether she plans to continue her political career in general. Upon leaving office, the politician hinted that she has no intention of "disappearing off the radar." The magazine also mentions rumors that she may run for governor of California.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote and Harris received 47.4%. The voting results were met with prolonged applause at Trump's campaign headquarters. Speaking to supporters, the Republican said that his goal as head of state is to end military conflicts in the world.
