Patrushev was shown the process of designing nuclear submarines in St. Petersburg


Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, visited the Malakhit Marine Engineering Bureau in St. Petersburg on January 24, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), where he was shown the design process of nuclear submarines.
"Designing is not an end in itself. In any case, there is only one goal — to create a ship in proper construction, at a set cost and in compliance with all the requirements of the technical specifications," said Vladimir Dorofeev, Director General of the bureau, during the tour.
Patrushev also discussed with the head of Malachite and representatives of the USC, a number of federal agencies and regional authorities the prospects for the activities of the maritime bureau.
Thus, the Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board stated the need to actively develop existing knowledge and experience in the field of design and construction of technical facilities for the development of the World Ocean. In addition, he stressed the importance of maintaining Malachite's leadership in the introduction of new types of weapons on submarines.
Malakhit JSC is the country's leading design bureau specializing in the design of marine equipment, including those with a nuclear power plant. The main activity of Malachite includes the design, construction and testing of submarines and technical means of ocean exploration.
