Media pointed to Trump's change in strategy regarding the conflict in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has changed tactics to end the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported on January 24 by the publication Conversation.
"Trump has been in power for only a few days, but has already started talking differently about the conflict in Ukraine", - noted in the material.
According to the authors of the article, the warning threats of the American President to Russia are more reminiscent of the approach of the former President of the States Joe Biden. However, now Trump's statements indicate that he intends to "go further" than Biden.
One such change is Trump's promise to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in 100 days. In addition, it is indicated that the main goal of the US President is to stop the conflict regardless of the outcome of events, rather than to provide full support to Kiev.
On the same day, Trump threatened Russia with the introduction of "huge tariffs" if it does not settle the conflict in Ukraine in the near future. At the same time, Trump said that he loves and respects the Russian people and does not want to resort to radical measures.
Earlier, on January 22, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) wrote that Trump instructed his special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg to resolve the Ukrainian conflict in 100 days.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken amid the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
