The Bryansk-based Silicon El plant has suspended its work due to an attack by Ukrainian drones. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise on January 24.

"On the night of January 23-24, six UAV arrivals were recorded, as a result of which part of the production facilities and the warehouse of finished products were damaged. <...> The activity of the enterprise has been suspended. There are no casualties," TASS quoted the press service as saying.

It was specified that the damage was caused to the facilities of special power supply, also technological production chains were disturbed.

Earlier in the day, one drone was shot down in the Sergiev Posad city district of the Moscow region, three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Leningrad region were also destroyed.

Also on January 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said that overnight, Russian air defense (air defense) assets destroyed 121 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory. The AFU attempted to attack the territories of Bryansk, Ryazan, Kursk, Saratov, Rostov, Moscow, Belgorod, Voronezh, Tula, Orel, Lipetsk regions, as well as Crimea and Moscow.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
