Expert named the disadvantage of electric windshield heating on cars with mileage

With full-size electric windshield heating in winter, icy rain or fogging is no longer a problem. However, on the secondary car market, such an option scares off potential buyers, said Alexander Gubanov, sales director of the Fresh car marketplace, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on January 24.

According to the auto expert, the windshield is a consumable item, especially for those drivers who drive a lot on highways. At the same time, a heated glass is much more expensive than an ordinary one - for example, 100-120 thousand rubles instead of 10-20 thousand. As the expert noted, people are internally uncomfortable buying a car, realizing that a simple operation to replace the glass will cost a lot.

"Relatively inexpensive analogs of heated windows often do not have. Most cost the most is glass that uses clear film rather than thin filaments for heating. Film heating is inferior in efficiency to filament heating, but it is completely invisible," explained Gubanov.
