The Defense Ministry showed footage of a Lancet hitting an Abrams tank in the Kursk Region

A Lancet barrage munition has disabled a German Abrams tank in the Kursk Region with a direct hit. Images of the hit were shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on Friday, January 24.

It happened near the village of Viktorovka. The footage shows the disabled foreign equipment with smoke coming from it.

The Russian military has repeatedly destroyed foreign equipment, which has been recognized more than once, including in the West. Thus, on January 1, MWM called the failure of Abrams tanks in Ukraine one of the most significant moments of 2024. According to the material, heavy losses severely undermined the reputation of this armored vehicle.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
