Avatr has promised a lifetime battery warranty on the new crossover's battery

The first buyers of the new Avatr 11 crossover in Russia will receive a lifetime warranty on the model's electrical components. It will apply to the CATL battery, electric motors and electric motor controllers, according to a statement from Changan Motor Rus, which was received by Izvestia on January 24.

The company emphasized that the lifetime warranty will be valid only until the transfer of ownership of the car (before the change of ownership).

Electric crossover Avatr 11 will be presented in Russia in three modifications, which differ in powertrain and interior layout. In the initial configuration Avatr 11 will be presented with rear-wheel drive and CATL battery capacity of 90 kWh, which will provide a range of 575 km.

In the second modification, the battery capacity is 116.79 kWh, two electric motors in total develop 578 hp (650 Nm), provides all-wheel drive. Acceleration to a hundred takes 4.5 seconds, and the range on a single charge is 625 km.

On December 4, 2024, it was reported that the electric crossover Avatr 11 will receive a comprehensive adaptation for the Russian market, which includes Russification of the interface and corrosion protection. Changan announced the launch of luxury electric car brand Avatr in Russia on November 12. The brand was created in partnership with Chinese IT giant Huawei.
