Air defense forces destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over Kursk. This was reported by the mayor of the city Igor Kutsak on January 24.

"A Ukrainian UAV was shot down over Kursk. As a result of falling debris four households were damaged," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Kutsak himself went to one of the addresses, which received a request to the Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS) of Kursk.

"All services are on the spot, there are no victims. In the morning, a commission survey will be conducted to assess the damaged property," informed the mayor of Kursk.

Earlier, on October 11, 2024, seven cars were damaged in Kursk as a result of falling debris from a downed Ukrainian missile. It has been established that two private houses are also among the damaged objects.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories amid the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
