L'vova-Belova spoke about the condition of children injured in a road accident near Volgograd

Two children who were injured in a traffic accident with a school bus in Volgograd region are in serious condition. This was reported by the presidential commissioner for children's rights Maria Lvova-Belova on January 23.

She specified that seven children were taken to the hospital in Volgograd.

"Two guys are in a serious condition, five - in a state of medium severity. They are receiving medical assistance," wrote Lvova-Belova in her Telegram-channel.

In addition, the children's ombudsman reported on the planned telemedicine consultation with specialists from the Pirogov Russian Children's Hospital.

Theaccident with a school bus and a passenger car occurred that day on the highway Volgograd - Kotelnikovo - Salsk. As a result of the accident a child died. A criminal case has been opened under part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person by negligence").

As noted in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the victims are hospitalized, they are provided with all the necessary assistance and conducted examinations.
