The total amount of maternity capital in 2025 will increase and will amount to 912 thousand in 2025. This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov on January 23.

"The maternity capital will also increase. Its total amount will amount to 912 thousand rubles in 2025. This is almost 80 thousand more than in (2024. - Ed.) year," Kotyakov said during the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the government.

According to him, February 1, the amount for the first child will increase by Br60 thousand, which will amount to Br690 thousand. After the birth of the second child, the family, which has not previously issued a certificate, will additionally receive about Br222 thousand.

Earlier, January 5, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Svetlana Bessarab said that the amount of maternal family capital would be increased in Russia from February 1, 2025, its increase will be proportional to the percentage of inflation. Bessarab also expressed hope that in the coming year the maternity capital will be allowed to be spent on high-tech medical care.
