A nutritionist has warned of the dangers of a "beer belly"
"Beer belly" implies a large deposit of visceral fat, which is located inside the abdominal cavity. About this candidate of medical sciences, doctor, nutritionist Andrei Bobrovsky told on Thursday, January 23.
According to the specialist, this fat is very dangerous, because inside the abdominal cavity it negatively affects many internal organs and many processes.
"There is even in medicine such a disease called "metabolic syndrome" - it is a whole range of different diseases that are associated with fat in the abdominal area," - said the nutritionist in conversation with Radio 1.
Bobrovsky noted that beer affects the appearance of the belly only in its caloric content, although it is not considered the most caloric alcoholic beverage - its caloric content is 40-50 kilocalories per 100 g.
"But beer is very often consumed with high-calorie snacks: chips, dips, nuts. The salt contained in these snacks is bad for health, too. That is, the reason for the appearance of the "beer belly" is in the excessive consumption of calories", - concluded the nutritionist.
In turn, nutritionist Sophia Eliashevich said that visceral fat, which is located around the internal organs, in a small amount is necessary for the body, but its excess can provoke the emergence of serious health problems, reports 360.ru.
On January 17, Sergei Leonov, head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, said that deputies had asked experts to study the impact of alcohol-free alcohol on children, RT reported.
Earlier, on January 15, Izvestia wrote that it is proposed to introduce the same restrictions for advertising non-alcoholic beer in the Russian Federation as for alcoholic beer. The bill will soon be submitted to the State Duma by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
