A psychologist spoke about the frequent victims of bullying
Any person who stands out and differs from society can become a victim of bullying. Irina Manina, an educator, psychologist of the highest qualification, professional mediator, told about it on Thursday, January 23.
"Children, in essence, in adolescence do not yet know how to own themselves, so there is group bullying. The group has a leader whom others cannot resist because of some fears, desire to like-friend and so on. Mostly it happens among boys - they want to be noticed, to show their importance", - said the expert in a conversation with "Radio 1".
According to the specialist, teachers in schools should have mediation skills, that is, the ability to have a conversation, to listen, to give time to those who feel uncomfortable in the collective.
"Victimized children are often afraid to turn to their parents, but it is in no way possible to tolerate such bullying: you can at the first attempt to put a person in his place, you can make jokes, translate the negative into positive - there are special ways. It is necessary to look for the child's weaknesses and toughen him up," Manina advised.
The psychologist noted that there is a special scheme, which is taught to class teachers to keep the atmosphere in the classroom safe and comfortable.
On the eve of 360.ru reported that in Russia may introduce a law to combat bullying. The document does not imply fines, but it will oblige to put offenders on the record in the children's police room. Bullying will be considered deliberate systematic actions, which may lead or have already led to physical or psychological trauma.
Earlier, on December 13, Chairman of the Duma Committee on Youth Policy Artem Metelev said that a bill on the prevention of bullying among children and youth will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration in early 2025, RT reports.
On September 23, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova reported that the office had received more than 240 appeals about child bullying. According to her, there are cases of bullying even in kindergartens, but educational organizations do not address this problem in any way.
