In the Kursk region, the operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Rosgvardiya destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit 2S1 "Gvozdika" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on Thursday, January 23, by the press service of the agency.
"The camouflaged "Gvozdika" was detected during surveillance of enemy positions and destroyed by an accurate strike of a fiber-optic kamikaze drone," the statement said.
It is reported that the artillery installation is designed to suppress and destroy enemy manpower.
January 23, fighters of special forces of the Rosgvardiya destroyed the point of temporary deployment of the AFU in Chernihiv region. It was liquidated with the use of fiber-optic UAVs.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of Ukrainian militants who invaded Russian territory continues.
