The man who killed a girl in 2010 near Kurgan has been detained

Police detained a man who killed a 17-year-old girl in 2010 in Kurgan region. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk on January 23.

It is specified that the crime was committed almost 15 years ago. The body of the girl with an open craniocerebral injury was found by the side of the road, then it was not possible to establish the identity of the suspect.

"Expert examinations of physical evidence seized from the scene were conducted. As a result, the human genotype was isolated and the alleged perpetrator was identified," wrote Volk in Telegram-channel.

Police officers detained the man, a criminal case has been opened under the article on murder. His possible involvement in other crimes is also being considered.

Earlier, on December 5, 2024, law enforcement agencies detained in the Moscow region four men suspected of a triple murder committed in 2005. The intruders entered the house through the window. On the first floor they saw the mistress of the house and hit her with a bat, and then beat up the victim's husband and father who came running to the noise. The men died of their injuries on the spot, the woman later died in hospital. The criminals also stole jewelry, after which they fled.
