The expert gave tips on how to save money during the sale period

You can save money not only through promotions, but also through the method of payment: if you choose the right payment method, it will increase the benefit. Andrey Efimochkin, an expert on online sales and director of retail products at fintech company YuMoneu, told Izvestia on January 24.
From January 27 to 29, Russia will host the first major online sale of the year - Cyber Monday. In the fight for the buyer, marketplaces and online stores will distribute hundreds of promotions and special offers.
"The key to successful shopping is to monitor prices in advance. Start tracking the cost of desired items at different retailers by creating a list of potential purchases. Especially worth noting are promotions on new lines of gadgets and other devices," Efimochkin explained.
According to him, one should pay attention not only to large marketplaces, but also to specialized online stores. On the one hand, marketplaces can start the sale earlier and there is more choice there, but on the other hand - while shopping on large sites there is a higher risk of buying a lot of unnecessary things and being left without the necessary goods.
"As a rule, small local sellers offer favorable conditions and quality goods, and their assortment is not overloaded with related items that distract from the purchase. But it is important to act quickly: usually the most attractive offers are sold out on the first day of the action," said Efimochkin.
According to the expert, you can save money not only through promotions, but also by using different payment methods. The right choice of payment method can significantly increase your benefit. It can be installment programs, payment by card with increased cacheback or use of electronic wallets with a combined system of bonus accrual. For example, sometimes it is more profitable to pay for goods in installments, receiving for this a significant cacheback or discount.
"Do not forget that the final purchase price may be affected by the chosen delivery point and your order history. Therefore, when making a purchase, pay attention to the minimum order amount, as well as the terms of delivery to your address," summarized Efimochkin.
Last year, on December 9, "Izvestia" got acquainted with the study of the service for trade and production management "MoiSklad" where it is said that Russians have a decreasing interest in sales. According to the study, different stores set them at their discretion. Secondly, the consumer has lost much interest in discounts, as these discounts are not always real.
