UFC fighter Tsarukyan calls Russian Federation a safer country compared to the U.S.

Armenian-Russian fighter Arman Tsarukyan, ranked No. 1 in the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight rankings, said he feels safer in Russia than in the United States. He made this statement on January 23 on the JAXXON podcast.
"Is it safe in Russia? Yes, it's safe. I feel safer in Russia than in the United States," Tsarukyan said. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.
Earlier, on January 17, due to Tsarukyan's ill health, his fight with Russian athlete Islam Makhachev for the UFC title was canceled. Tsarukyan was replaced by Brazilian Renato Moicano.
On January 19, Makhachev defeated his opponent from Brazil. The fight was completed in the first round when Makhachev successfully applied a choke hold against his opponent. The fight lasted 3 minutes and 31 seconds.
Tsarukyan made his UFC debut in 2019. He has nine wins and two losses to his credit in the organization.
