KAMAZ trucks have been equipped with voice control

KAMAZ has integrated a voice assistant into the on-board information system of K5 generation trucks. The company's press service reported on January 23 that KAMAZ became the first domestic automaker to introduce voice control of vehicle functions.
The system allows using voice commands to change the settings of the climate control system, request the current parameters of the vehicle (for example, to specify the load on the bridge), launch various applications, receive calls, switch music. While driving in traffic jams, the driver will be able to play "cities" with the voice assistant.
"Voice control of car functions helps not to lose focus on the traffic situation and contributes to increased traffic safety," the company said.
Tomsk-based Enbisys was a partner in the development of the voice assistant. Serial production of K5 generation KamAZ trucks equipped with voice assistant will start in 2025. The new feature will also be introduced in vehicles manufactured from the second quarter of 2023, with software updates "over the air".
Earlier in the day, Izvestia reported that Russia may adjust the size of the utilization fee for some types of transport, this is provided by a draft decree of the Russian government. The document envisages both an increase and a decrease in the rates in the scale of indexation of the utilization fee for various types of vehicles already approved until 2030.
