Russia calls on the administration of US President Donald Trump to correct former US leader Joe Biden 's mistakes on Ukraine. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said this at a briefing on January 23 in response to Izvestiya's question.

She noted that Trump and his advisers have repeatedly spoken about Biden's "gravest" mistakes on the Ukrainian conflict.

"These mistakes were made by him not in his personal, but in his national capacity. <...> And what is done with mistakes that were made on behalf of the country <...> ? They are corrected," Zakharova pointed out.

On the eve of Trump said that Biden had bad advisers on the topic of the conflict in Ukraine and other issues. According to the Republican, bad were also the recommendations received by Biden on Israel and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.

On January 20, Trump's inauguration took place. He took the oath of office and became the 47th president of the United States. After that, the American president reiterated that he plans to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin as soon as possible and discuss the conflict in Ukraine.
