Putin called entrepreneurship a patriotic and noble endeavor

Russian President Vladimir Putin called entrepreneurship a patriotic and noble endeavor. He said this on January 23 during a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
"I agree, being an entrepreneur is patriotic unconditionally. <...> Of course, it is a noble cause in general," the head of state said.
Thus, according to Putin, entrepreneurial activity should be filled with concrete deeds. For example, creating jobs or risking capital in order to pave the way for technological development not only for his company, but for the entire Russian economy.
Earlier in the day, Putin said that young people should see more opportunities for self-realization in their regions. He pointed to the need to form an environment and support mechanisms to increase the turnover of thousands of new companies, including those from remote communities.
The day before, on January 22, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that the capital creates opportunities for youth entrepreneurship in the technological sphere. The capital has everything necessary for a startup: leading educational institutions, innovation ecosystems and various support measures, such as the "Innovators Academy".
