Criminal proceedings have been instituted against three residents of the Pskov Region for arson in St. Petersburg. They are suspected of deliberate damage to property.

Two 19-year-olds and one 16-year-old from Pskov were taken to St. Petersburg. The younger of them has already been prosecuted for theft and robbery for two years, notes Pskov newswire.

The investigation established that the suspects are related to the arson in the house on Dunaysky Avenue, where the apartment of the former wife of Peter Lunev, the creator of the meme-token Grimace, is located. The surveillance video footage shows two young men with fuel and a tire outside the apartment. The incident occurred on the night of December 15. The damage from their actions was estimated at Br20 thousand.

The agency notes that the arson attacks on the door of the apartment on Dunayskiy Avenue occurred at the end of 2023 and in the fall of 2024. Burning tires were also found at other apartments, where acquaintances of Petr Lunev lived.

The suspects stated that they acted on an order they received via Telegram. At the beginning of 2025, the cases of arson on Dunayskiy Avenue and Budapestskaya Street were considered in court.

In mid-December it was reported that in Pskov a local resident, succumbing to psychological pressure, set fire to a car. According to the governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov, she fell under the influence of unidentified persons. She was detained.
