In St. Petersburg, stalls located near the Church of the Savior on the Blood were dismantled. The reason for the demolition was constant violations.

As reported by the TV channel "78" with reference to the press service of the city committee of property relations, under the contract trade in this place is prohibited.

The department noted that on the embankment of the Griboedov Canal it was planned to place an open-air cultural and exhibition center. It was supposed that artists would exhibit there, but not sell their works. As a result, most of the space was occupied by sellers of souvenirs, clothes, and even food.

The organization appealed to the committee to extend the contract, but was refused. Thus, there are no legal grounds to continue the work of the stalls.

Demolish illegal structures began on January 21.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg earlier than one year ahead of schedule will complete the restoration of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. The works are already at the final stage. The restoration of the facades of the first higher musical educational institution has been completed. They are presented to the residents and guests of the city in the same historical light beige color as at the time of its opening at the end of the XIX century.
