Peskov announced Putin's international phone call


In the middle of Thursday, January 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to hold an international telephone conversation. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
"I'll tell you right away: this is not the same conversation, but no less important for us," he said.
During the press briefing, the Kremlin spokesman also clarified that the Russian leader has no plans to hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yet.
"The conversation is not planned yet, but Putin and Erdogan coordinate conversations in literally hours, so if necessary it will be held," Peskov said.
Prior to that, Egyptian President Abdul-Fattah al-Sisi held a phone conversation with Putin on January 21. According to the office of the Egyptian leader, the heads of state discussed the implementation of joint projects and the situation in the Middle East. They also discussed economic issues and the Ukrainian crisis.
