The Ministry of Ecology of the Moscow Region filed a claim for compensation of damage for 1 million rubles

The Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the Moscow Region is asking the court to recover 1 million rubles from Ozersky Timber and Fuel Enterprise LLC. It is accused of damaging soil in the town of Ozyory, which is part of the Kolomna urban district.

According to the online edition of Podmoskovie Segodnya, the enterprise sells coking coal. It is stored in bulk on the site without any protection in the form of dedusting screens. There are no aspiration systems there either.

The survey showed that two plots of land were contaminated with coal dust. The damage to the soil was estimated at 1 million rubles.

The company was warned several times about the inadmissibility of violating the requirements, but all of them were ignored. Then the ministry appealed to the court.

In mid-December, it was reported about the completion of the reconstruction of the Shchelkovsky inter-district treatment facilities in the Moscow region. The works were carried out without stopping the activities of the enterprise. The total area of the development is over 40 hectares. The capacity of the renovated treatment facilities will be 400 thousand cubic meters per day with a coverage of more than 1.3 million people.
