Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as see a map of military operations as of January 23 in the Izvestiya piece.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian military liberated the village of Solenoye in the DNR. The goal was achieved as a result of active offensive actions of the unit of the grouping of troops "Center".

In this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 570 servicemen, four armored combat vehicles, including an M113 armored personnel carrier, nine vehicles and a 155-millimeter Krab self-propelled artillery unit.

In addition, the Russian army hit the infrastructure of military airfields, critical gas and energy infrastructure facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 144 areas.

Air defense means shot down 29 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the aircraft type during the day.

A total of 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 41,177 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,739 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 multiple rocket launchers, 20,877 field artillery and mortars, 30,616 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
