Trump called Biden's advisers' recommendations on Ukraine bad
US President Donald Trump said that the previous head of state Joe Biden had bad advisers on the topic of the conflict in Ukraine and other issues.
"Joe Biden was given very bad advice on Ukraine, as well as on everything else," he said in an interview with Fox News on January 22.
According to the Republican, the advice Biden received on Israel and the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan was also bad.
Earlier in the day, Trump threatened to raise taxes and impose new sanctions on Russian exports to the United States if the conflict in Ukraine is not resolved soon. He called the "deal" a favor he was doing for Russian Federation. Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's first deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, said Moscow first needs to find out what Trump means by "deal".
At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved on the basis of reliable legal guarantees. At the same time, Russia is focused on achieving the goals of the special operation and eliminating the root causes of the crisis.
