Judi Dench stopped leaving the house on her own due to her deteriorating eyesight
British actress, Oscar and Golden Globe winner Judi Dench said that she can not leave the house unaccompanied because of deteriorating eyesight. She said this in an interview with Trinny Woodall, excerpts of which were published by Sky News on January 22.

It is specified that the 90-year-old actress has macular degeneration - an age-related disease that affects the central area of the retina and leads to vision loss.
At the same time, Lady Commander of the Order of the British Empire Dench added that she does not like to attend events alone, but now she always has company.
The actress was nominated for an Oscar in 2022 for "Belfast" for the eighth time in her career and the third time in the category of Best Supporting Actress. Dench became one of the oldest nominees in Oscar history. In addition, she was twice awarded the "Golden Globe": for the film "Her Majesty Mrs. Brown" and for the series "The Last of the blonde beauties".
