Forecasters predicted light snow and icy conditions in Moscow on January 23

Cloudy, light snow in some places, icy conditions - such weather is expected for residents of the capital region on Thursday, January 23. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow during the day will vary from -2 to 0 degrees. At night, the thermometer columns will drop to -5.

In the Moscow region during the day forecasters promise from -5 to 0 degrees, and at night the temperature may fall to -8.

A south wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will be 751 mm of mercury column.

Earlier, on January 22, the scientific head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand said that January 2025 in Moscow may become the second warmest in the history of meteorological observations. He noted that by the end of the month the temperature will be one degree above the norm and significant cooling is not expected.

Before that, on January 21, the head of the forecasting center "Meteo" Alexander Shuvalov said that this week in Moscow can expect winter weather. The thaw will recede, a little snow will appear. However, from January 23, the temperature is expected to rise again, and a slight frost will last only a couple of days.
