Medical institutions of the Lipetsk Region will be united into inter-district clusters

The Lipetsk Region intends to create inter-district medical clusters, uniting small hospitals with larger ones. The corresponding decision is reflected in the regional healthcare modernization program, which was reviewed by GOROD48.

The core of each cluster will be a central district hospital, and its branches will be district and neighborhood hospitals, outpatient clinics, FAPs and OVP centers. Small CRHs will lose the status of a legal entity and will be reorganized into RBs.

Reorganization will begin already this year. In clusters will unite GUZ "Volovskaya RB" and GUZ "Terbunskaya CRB", GUZ "Krasninskaya RB" and GUZ "Lebedyanskaya CRB", GUZ "Lev-Tolstovskaya RB" and GUZ "Dankovskaya CRB".

"The availability of inpatient and outpatient care for residents of the listed districts will remain. The main inpatient departments and outpatient reception of residents will be organized in the existing units", - explained GOROD48 in the regional health department.

Unification of medical institutions will be held in Elets on the basis of the city hospital named after N.A. Semashko. N.A. Semashko. Besides, construction of a new building of the city polyclinic is planned.

The cluster-forming CRB will become the sole fund-holder, administrative staff will be significantly reduced, but doctors and nurses will remain in their places. According to the plan, the reform will allow to concentrate high-tech equipment and specialists in interdistrict centers, while maintaining the necessary level of accessibility of medical care in rural areas.
