A civilian was killed in Horlivka under AFU shelling

A civilian was killed in Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko on January 22.

"Following the shelling of the center of Gorlovka by Ukrainian neo-Nazis, a civilian was killed," he wrote in his Telegram.

The mayor of Gorlovka expressed condolences to the loved ones and relatives of the deceased.

"Orders were given to kill people if they spoke Russian."

Earlier in the day, Prikhodko reported the death of a Gorlovka resident as a result of shelling by Ukrainian militants on January 21. That day the AFU shelled Gorlovka 23 times in total.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces shell the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis against the background of the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
