VTB United League suspended the referees for the CSKA vs. Lokomotiv-Kuban match
The VTB United League, after the analysis, suspended the referees of the match CSKA - "Lokomotiv-Kuban", who made decisions at the regular season match between CSKA Moscow and Krasnodar "Lokomotiv-Kuban". This was reported in the press service of the VTB league on January 22.
"This officiating crew will not be allowed to work on the next matches of the championship of the VTB United League," - noted in the Telegram-channel.
As noted in the message, the referees made four mistakes in the last few minutes of the main time against both teams, which did not affect the final result of the match. Nevertheless, the work of the referees was assessed as qualified.
The meeting was held on January 19 in Moscow and ended in a 106-104 victory for the Krasnodar club. CSKA suffered its first home loss of the season.
On the eve of the head coach of the Nizhnekamsk hockey club Reactor Igor Fedorov was disqualified for seven matches for provoking a mass brawl. Fedorov is suspended for the period from January 20 to February 5 inclusive. It is specified that earlier, in the seasons 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, the coach has already been sanctioned for similar violations.
