One person was killed and two injured in a knife attack in Japan

A man attacked with a knife on people near the railway station Nagano in the center of the city of the same name, as a result, one person died and two were injured. This was reported on Wednesday, January 22, Kyodo agency with reference to the authorities.

The incident occurred around 20:00 local time (14.00 Moscow time). It was preliminarily established that a skinny man in his 40s attacked with a knife on people waiting for a bus at a bus stop near the station and fled to the southern part of the station.

As a result of the attack, one victim died and another young man was seriously wounded in the back. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and interviewing eyewitnesses.

Earlier, on January 16, it was reported that a student committed a knife attack in a gymnasium in the town of Spišská Stara Ves in eastern Slovakia, killing at least two people. An investigation into the incident is underway.
