In St. Petersburg, the project of reconstruction of the lobby of the station "Park Pobedy" was approved

The Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of St. Petersburg has approved the project of reconstruction of the entrance hall of the metro station "Park Pobedy". The positive conclusion of the agency published on its website on Wednesday, January 22.

As reported by TV channel "78", referring to the documentation, the project provides for the construction of a new two-story lobby building with a basement floor. The height of the structure from the ground to the top of the dome will be 11 meters. Also the reconstruction of the lobby includes the replacement of escalators.

It is expected that all works will be completed by August 16, 2027. During the reconstruction the station will be closed.

Now the process of determining the contractor is underway. Applications were finished on January 21, and it is planned to summarize the results and select the contractor on January 27. The maximum cost of the contract will amount to 3.2 billion rubles.

In late December, St. Petersburg opened a new subway station "Gorny Institute", which became part of the Lakhtinsko-Pravoberezhnaya line. Governor Alexander Beglov called the opening of the station a watershed event that marked the overcoming of the crisis in the metro construction sector.
