Sobyanin and Kravtsov opened a cooking range for college students in Moscow

On the eve of Student's Day, a culinary polygon of practical training has appeared in the educational complex "Zapad" in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin, who opened the new space together with the Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov.
According to a video published in Sobyanin's Telegram, the polygon includes seven innovative training zones. "Their space is as close as possible to real conditions and meets the standards of the city's employers," the mayor noted.
About a thousand students will be trained here annually. They will master skills in cookery, confectionery and baking. Students will learn how to make semi-finished products, prepare desserts and pastries. One of the seven areas will be a training restaurant where students can practice service. There are also two demonstration studios for master classes.
Among the teachers are specialists from famous Moscow restaurants and cafes.
This year in Moscow it is planned to modernize 23 more laboratories and workshops in colleges of hospitality industry.
In total, today more than 270 thousand people study in the capital's colleges. The plan for the coming years is to double the number of graduates.
