Six people killed and 35 injured in Israeli attack on Jenin

At least six people have been killed and 35 others injured in an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) "counter-terrorism operation" in the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

"Six dead and 35 injured as a result of the occupation forces' attack on Jenin (West Bank city - Ed.)," the statement said.

Earlier in the day, the IDF launched a counter-terrorism operation in the Jenin area. Details were not given.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected Israeli territory to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
