Putin says budget revenues unrelated to oil and gas sales are on the rise


In 2024, budget revenues not related to the sale of oil and gas increased. At the end of the year, the state budget received 800 billion rubles more from them than the government expected. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 22.
"Last year, budget revenues not related to the sale of oil and gas increased - they added 26% and amounted to 25.6 trillion rubles. This is almost 800 billion rubles more than the government assumed in the fall," he said during the first meeting on economic issues in 2025.
The head of state noted that this indicates the formation of a reliable revenue base in the state budget, "which is much less dependent on the external situation on commodity markets."
Putin added that additional oil and gas budget revenues amounted to Br1.3 trillion at the end of last year.
The head of state also emphasized the importance of continuing to ensure "stability, stability of public finances" of the country.
Earlier, January 14, Chairman of the agency Boris Kovalchuk said that the Accounts Chamber returned a record amount of almost Br94 billion to the budgets of all levels in 2024 . The total economic effect of this work exceeded 130 billion rubles.
