- Media reported on the Slovak opposition's desire for a vote of no confidence in the government

The Slovak opposition has repeatedly proposed a vote of no confidence in the government of Robert Fico. This was reported on January 22 by Pravda.sk.
It is noted that party representatives have collected more than 50 signatures from opposition MPs and expect a vote on the issue in the Slovak parliament within the next seven days.
A member of the opposition Freedom and Solidarity party Maria Kolikova called on the government "not to be cowardly and not to confront society."
"So far this government has been looking after its own interests," she said.
The day before, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said at a joint press conference with his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban that the Slovak opposition was preparing for a "Maidan." He specified that the information was received by Slovak counterintelligence, which discovered a long organized operation aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country.
Earlier, on 19 January, Fico said that the opposition party Progressive Slovakia was seeking a coup d'état in the country following the Ukrainian scenario.
