The International Arctic Forum will be held on March 26-27 in Murmansk.

"The International Arctic Forum "Arctic - Territory of Dialogue" will be held for the sixth time at a new venue - in the city of Murmansk - on March 26 and 27. The choice of venue is not accidental: the Murmansk region is one of the few regions of our country, which is entirely included in the Arctic zone and is the largest economic zone in Russia and the world with a single set of tax and administrative preferences. I am confident that the event will unite the efforts of government authorities, international organizations, representatives of scientific and business communities of Russia and foreign countries for an open discussion of the most pressing issues of sustainable growth of the Arctic region, which is especially important in the context of current geopoliticalchanges," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the International Arctic Forum.

The International Arctic Forum is a key platform for discussing topical issues of socio-economic development of the Arctic territories, elaboration of multilevel, multilateral mechanisms for joint disclosure and effective development of the powerful resource potential of the Arctic region.

"The discussion at the International Arctic Forum of the issues of sustainable development of the Arctic territories will draw additional attention to the challenges and prospects that Russia has in this region. The discussion of development and implementation of tools of advanced, innovative experience, development of the Northern Sea Route and formation of new logistics chains, preservation of unique nature, support of tourism, attraction of new personnel, elaboration of directions for improvement of state support of investment projects in the Arctic comes to the fore. The International Arctic Forum has become one of the effective tools for the development of the northern Russian territories," emphasized Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Arctic Forum.

The previous International Arctic Forum was held in 2019 in St. Petersburg and brought together on one platform more than 3,600 representatives of Russian and international political, scientific and business circles, the public, leading media from 52 countries. At the Forum, 45 agreements were signed for a total amount of RUB 69.8 billion (taking into account the agreements, the amount of which is not a commercial secret).

In 2021-2023, the Russian Federation held the chairmanship of the Arctic Council. The program of the chairmanship included more than a hundred events in ten main areas, including economic, environmental, human capital development, support for Arctic indigenous peoples and others.

The International Arctic Forum "Arctic - Territory of Dialogue" will be organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
