Former player of the TV program "What? Where? When?" and journalist Rovshan Askerov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) was included in the list of extremists and terrorists. This is evidenced by the data on the website of Rosfinmonitoring.
In addition, the register included public figure Leonid Gozman (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), convicted in absentia for fakes about the Russian army.
In May 2022 Askerov was arrested in absentia for rehabilitation of Nazism. The journalist was added to the register of foreign agents back in December of the same year.
In the fall of 2022, the court sentenced Gozman to 15 days of administrative arrest in the case of public identification of the USSR and Nazi Germany. In July 2024, a court in Moscow sentenced Gozman in absentia to 8.5 years in a penal colony in the case of fakes about the Russian army.
