ZNPP communications director named the target of AFU drone strikes on Energodar

The target of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was civilian infrastructure. This was reported by the communications director of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), Yevheniya Yashina, on January 22.
She noted that Ukrainian drones were spotted in several parts of ZNPP's satellite city Energodar.
"Ukrainian UAVs were recorded <...> in the area of the water channel, the city embankment and near the Groszyk store," Yashina told TASS.
According to her, inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who are at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, will be informed about the AFU attack on the civilian infrastructure of Energodar.
Earlier in the day, the Energodar administration said that the AFU attacked four drones in the satellite town of Zaporizhzhya NPP. It was noted that there were no casualties as a result of the attack, there was no information about destruction, no fires followed.
Before that, on January 17, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said that explosions near the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant occur daily.
Zaporizhzhya region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. Since that time, Zaporizhzhya NPP has been under constant IAEA control.
