In Moscow, one of the men who organized a shootout at the cafe "Kofemania" last November has been detained, a source of "Izvestiya" reported on January 22.

The troublemaker turned out to be a 23-year-old young man who had come to the capital from another region. The other two participants in the conflict are still on the wanted list.

The detainee was given a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.

The shooting took place near the cafe "Coffee House" on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street in the center of the capital on November 27, 2024. The main department (GU) of the Russian Interior Ministry in Moscow reported that the shot was fired from a traumatic pistol. The capital's prosecutor's office published recordings from video surveillance cameras, which recorded the moment of the shooting. They show that there was a conflict between the visitors of the institution. One man pushed his opponent, after which the latter pulled out a gun and shot him in the area of his legs. The victim fell down. The participants of the conflict fled the scene.

On November 28, the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to initiate a criminal case on the fact of shooting in the center of Moscow and submit a report. A criminal case was opened under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism").
