According to the author, Kiev's prospects on the front are not very favorable, and the advance of the Russian army requires the Ukrainian authorities to hurry up with the start of dialogue.
Earlier in the day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) again called the situation on the contact line difficult and noted the superiority of the Russian military in terms of technical equipment and number of personnel.
The South African embassy in Russia told Izvestiya on the same day that Pretoria advised Ukraine to start considering the possibility of cooperation with the Russian side. At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recalled that the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict requires addressing the root causes of the crisis and achieving reliable guarantees.
