Only 45% of women surveyed would go on a date on the recommendation of a friend

Among the surveyed women, 45% are ready to take a risk and meet someone on the recommendation of a girlfriend or friend, but with the right of veto. This is stated in the results of a survey of online dating site Mamba, which were reviewed by Izvestia on January 23.
Among men, 22% of respondents see blind dates as an excellent chance for a new acquaintance.
At the same time, 90% of women prefer one-on-one dating and are not ready to share the first meeting with friends. Men agree with them: 76% want to talk alone for the first time. However, 44% of men will be happy if a girl comes with a friend. But girls are more serious: 42% will feel discomfort at the appearance of a friend of the beau, and 40% will consider it an alarm bell.
At the same time, experts found out that more than half of men (54%) are in no hurry to show their friends the profiles of girls they like. Women are more open: only 35% keep their sympathy in secret. But if doubts creep in, both men and women do not mind consulting with their loved ones: 17% of men and 24% of women admitted that they sometimes show profiles to their friends. However, 5% of men and 6% of women do not spread the word about online dating.
Having met a new person, the vast majority (79% of men and 80% of women) prefer to write messages without help. But in cases when correspondence comes to a dead end, women are more willing to ask for support - 16% vs. 13% for men.
In addition, if friends perceive a new partner negatively, Russians are more likely to ignore it. Thus, 41% of men and 44% of women stand firmly on their own. But in case of a serious conflict between the other half and friends, Russians show themselves as diplomats: the majority (72% of men and 78% of women) believe in the power of compromise and try to make friends. If they have to choose, 16% of men and 14% of women are willing to bet on personal happiness. At the same time, 11% of men and 8% of women will move to the side of friends and break up with a partner if the relationship between them is too tense.
Earlier, on December 17, it was reported that in 2025 the majority of Russians are determined to change their personal lives for the better. Relationships will become a priority for 65% of women and 58% of men, according to the results of a study of the deiting service Mamba.
