In Krasnodar, the ground on Moskovskaya Street failed again

Another ground failure occurred in Krasnodar on Moskovskaya Street. This assumption was made by citizens because of the temporary stoppage of public transport, KrasnodarMedia news agency reported on Wednesday, January 22.

According to passengers, in the morning the conductor announced the streetcar stop. People were asked to get out of the transportation. By now the movement has been resumed.

For the first time the collapse of asphalt under the rails in the area of Moskovskaya was recorded in the fall of 2024. It was caused by the leakage of an old sewer pipe. At the beginning of December, specialists of repair teams discovered the dips in the well and ground, which were later eliminated.

At the beginning of January 2025 there was a dip in the streetcar tracks between 40 Let Pobedy Street and Zipovskaya Street. It was promptly liquidated. Now the authorities are dealing with the issue of replacing the collector to exclude similar accidents.

Moskovskaya Street is one of the key streets for traffic in the neighborhood, where tens of thousands of Krasnodar residents live. In addition to streetcars, many passenger buses and minibuses run here.
