In Podolsk, a local resident died at the reservoir while preparing to start fishing. This was reported by Olga Vradiy, senior assistant head of the GSU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region, on Wednesday, January 22.
"On January 21, the body of an elderly man born in 1952 was found on a plot of land near the reservoir with bodily injuries in the area of the face. <...> It is preliminarily established that on that day the pensioner went to the reservoir to check the state of the ice and cut down the branches of a tree that prevented him from fishing," - told the representative of the department to the agency of city news "Moscow".
The tree he cut down fell on the man. He was seriously injured and lost consciousness, and then died on the spot due to profuse bleeding, writes RIAMO.
Currently, investigators are establishing the circumstances of the death of the man. A procedural check is organized.
Earlier, on December 3, two men fell through the ice on a pond in the east of Moscow. As a result of the incident, one of the victims died. It is specified that the incident occurred on the same day in Novogireevo. Two men went out on the thin ice of the pond to take a shortcut to residential buildings, but fell through the ice.
