- The Federal Antimonopoly Service agreed on the commercial policies of Aeroflot and S7

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has agreed the commercial policies of Aeroflot and S7. This will ensure the transparency of pricing and increase the availability of air travel for citizens, the press service of the antimonopoly authority reported on January 22.
Russia's leading airlines have set out in their internal documents the basic principles of airfare pricing. This was the result of joint work with the Russian Ministry of Transport, which sent air carriers a general letter with advice on the development of key aspects of commercial policy.
The commercial policies of PJSC Aeroflot and Sibir Airlines, which were sent to the FAS of Russia, established principles for determining the initial price of air tickets and rules regarding its change. The air carriers stated that the share of ticket sales below the economically justified fare will not be less than 60%, while the share of tickets sold at the maximum price will not exceed 2.5%. In addition, each airline has included in its commercial policies special preferential programs for certain categories of citizens.
"The adoption of commercial policies is in the interests of both passengers and the airlines themselves. Transparent pricing will make economy class flights more accessible in terms of cost and availability. At the same time, the approaches to pricing described in the document will allow carriers to prevent possible violations of antimonopoly legislation," said Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of the FAS of Russia.
The Service has agreed the editions of commercial policies submitted by the airlines. The corresponding documents were signed and accepted by Aeroflot and Siberia Airlines.
According to the agency, other Russian air carriers should follow the example of the companies.
Earlier, on January 13, FAS fined Alfa Bank for improper advertising campaign with "Yandex Food". It was reported that the joint advertising was distributed on the air of federal TV channels. The video contained attractive information for consumers about the accrual of a 50% cashback when paying for an order in the service "Yandex" any card of the bank. Earlier, the service recognized the advertising of Alfa Bank and Yandex Foods as inappropriate and issued the companies with instructions to cease violating the federal law "On Advertising".
