In 2024, more than 80 billion rubles were allocated to the dairy industry. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev on January 22 at the XVI Congress of the Union of Milk Producers in Moscow.

He emphasized that this sphere has the widest scope of state support.

"Last year more than 80 billion rubles were allocated to your industry. This is almost one and a half times more than the year before. No other industry can boast such a volume of state support," Patrushev noted.

According to him, it is necessary to make maximum use of all opportunities to increase production through the introduction of modern technologies, automation and robotization.

Patrushev also added that the increase in efficiency should be linked to the development of the scientific base. The Federal Scientific and Technical Development Program (FSTP) provides more than 2 billion rubles for dairy farming.

"At the expense of this, among other things, it is necessary to develop animal productivity and realize the genetic potential in commercial farms. In general, the results of the work of our scientists, based on advanced methods of evaluation, applied value on embryotransfer, genomic selection should be actively reflected already in practice," - said Deputy Prime Minister.

Patrushev drew attention to the fact that from this year will begin the implementation of the national project on food security, one of the key aspects of which will be the development of human resources. In addition, a program to raise the prestige of professions necessary for the agro-industrial complex (AIC) was approved, aimed at training qualified specialists for the dairy industry. Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance of this project.

On the same day Patrushev reported that the production of raw milk in Russia in 2024 increased by 200 thousand tons. Thus, the volume of finished product amounted to 34 million tons. In case the situation in dairy production contradicts the stability of the domestic market, the Russian government will immediately limit food exports, he said.
