Experts predicted popular vacation destinations for Russians in 2025
Tourists in 2025 will most often choose such destinations as Thailand, Egypt, Maldives, Indonesia, Cuba, China, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was reported by experts on January 22 during a press conference at the MICE "Izvestia" on the topic "New tourist season: plans of Russians for 2025".
"The situation with the popularity of foreign destinations will depend on how the ruble will strengthen against foreign currencies," said Natalia Osipova, executive director of the Alliance of Travel Agencies.
According to her, the incentive for families with children to travel will be 50 percent discounts on air tickets for children under 12 years old.
"The main destination in Russia is considered to be the health resort industry, which accounts for about 40% of the most popular routes. These are mainly places in the Krasnodar region, Caucasian Mineral Waters and, of course, in Crimea," said Yuri Barzykin, vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in Tourism.
The specialist noted that you can save up to 15% when booking a tour early.
In addition, experts recommended travelers who plan to go abroad, take out insurance against non-departure.
"The same Turkey, could get more Russian tourists, if not for the high prices for Russians. Now very popular destinations are Thailand, Egypt, Maldives, Indonesia, Cuba, China, UAE," summarized Osipova.
Last year, on December 14, the head of the PR-department of the hotel chain Palmira Yulia Morozova told "Izvestia" about the tourist preferences of Russians. According to her, two trends can be distinguished among the key trends - active trips to the cities with a rich sightseeing program and quiet rest outside the city, including walks, rest in hotels and visiting SPA.
