The deputy demanded to investigate Lermontov's murder
People's Artist of Russia and State Duma deputy Nikolai Burlyaev demanded an investigation into the circumstances of the death of Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov. Burlyaev sent a letter with such an appeal to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"I ask you to conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the murder of the great Russian poet Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov ... I convincingly ask you to conduct a modern, honest, unbiased investigation using modern technologies available to the Investigative Committee of Russia," - quotes the document "RIA Novosti".
According to the artist, that the investigation of the murder of the poet in a duel at the foot of Mount Mashuk on July 27, 1841 was conducted in bad faith, is convinced by everyone who was interested in the circumstances of the case.
"In that regard, it is necessary to professionally investigate all the circumstances that led to the "duel" and the death of the great Russian poet M. Y. Lermontov (from a bullet that hit the body of the poet on an incredible for a flat surface trajectory - from below upwards, at an angle of almost 40 degrees)," - emphasized Burlyaev.
Earlier, on December 25, the Chamber Theater, which since 1950 has borne the name of Russian writer Alexander Pushkin, celebrated its 110th anniversary. A gift for the audience was the premiere of the play "Bad Good" based on the comedy of manners by English playwright Oscar Wilde "Lady Windermere's Fan".
