Sergeant Erofeev's assault group captured an AFU stronghold without losses

Sergeant Vladimir Erofeev commanded an assault group at one of the important areas of the Russian troops' offensive and managed to capture a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) without losses. On Tuesday, January 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in carrying out combat missions in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone.
Erofeev's group was tasked to seize an enemy stronghold near a populated area. The servicemen set out to fulfill the task. On the way, they were almost detected by a Ukrainian spy drone, but Erofeev noticed its approach in time by its characteristic sound and ordered them to take cover under the rubble of trees.
The group managed to get to the stronghold undetected. The enemy, not expecting the attack, suffered casualties and was forced to retreat. The Russian attack aircraft captured the stronghold in a short time and without losses.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the dedication of the driver of the BARS-32 unit, Vitaly Dandyl, who was transporting three wounded Russian servicemen from the front line to a medical unit when the vehicle was attacked by an enemy FPV drone. The vehicle went up in flames.
Despite the threat to life, Dandyl pulled the wounded servicemen from the burning vehicle and carried them to a nearby wooded area, concealing them from enemy drones. The driver maintained the casualties' vital functions until an evacuation team arrived at the site.
Earlier, on January 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Junior Sergeant Abubakar Arsunkaev conducted artillery fire adjustments and contributed to the destruction of a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (IFV).
Prior to that, on January 20, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Senior Warrant Officer Gamid Dzharullaev was carrying out the task of delivering ammunition to Russian Armed Forces (AF) soldiers when his vehicle came under heavy mortar fire from the AFU and an FPV drone attack. Dzharullayev managed to steer the car away from the kamikaze drone's flight path and took the vehicle out of the target zone of enemy mortars, delivering ammunition to the front line in time.
